The multi-purpose Mr. Microwave Magnameter from Electronic Systems of Minnesota tests all microwave oven electronics safely.
• Analyzes magnetron and voltage diode operation
• Measures secondary transformer voltage and plate current
• Signals dangerous voltage levels even with oven turned off
• Bleeds off high voltage from capacitor safely
• Saves time because it reads correctly on either polarity without reversing the leads

The Magnameter by Mr. Microwave is a compact, multi-purpose voltage tester that makes servicing microwave oven electronics fast, simple, and safe. It works on all makes and models of home and commercial ovens - domestic and imports.

And, because it is designed as a complete "package," it costs less than multimeters that require additional high voltage probe accesories.

Built-in features mean extra safety. Some commercial microwave ovens operate at potentials of 7,000 volts or more. The Magnameter protects against these dangerous levels of high voltage three ways:
1. Three heavy-duty high voltage test leads - a high voltage, a low voltage, and a ground are permanently wired to the Magnameter circuit so there's little risk of using inadequate test leads.
2. A red high voltage warning light signals when dangerously high voltage levels are present.
3. An internal bleeder resistor removes dangerous high voltage before working on the oven's current carrying components.

Unique circuit design saves testing time. No matter which way you hook up the Magnameter, it works right the first time, because the rugged meter circuit includes a rectifier that enables the Magnameter to read correctly on either polarity without reversing the leads.

And, just by flipping one swith on the face of the Magnameter, you can check both plate voltage (high voltage) and plate current (low voltage, measured as the voltage drop across the plate resistor).

For ovens that have no plate resistor, the Magnameter includes a separate 10-ohm test resistor which is connected between rectifier and ground.

A handy conversion chart is also included for reading out plate current on ovens with resistors other than 10 ohms.

A heavy-duty, precision meter that is built to last, the Magnameter features an especially rugged taut band type meter with easy-to-read volt/kilovolt scale. While most industrial-grade voltage testers go only to 1,000 volts, the Magnameter measures up to 10,000 volts on high scale and 0 to 10 volts on low scale.

The high-impact polystyrene case resists breakage and gives the Magnameter excellent dielectric properties. The built-in carrying handle locks in place to double as a convenient stand.
